What happened last night?

Did anyone else in Israel see the flares in the sky last night around 11:00 pm? It looked as though they were over Bethlehem but one can never tell exactly. There was also a abnormally large group of Border Police in my community as well. It's located right on the Green Line so there is always a small presence but last night something was going down.

There was nothing on the radio, in the news and I couldn't find anything in the papers today.

Guess the Israeli government is keeping us in the dark again. Perhaps Ruby can talk to his/her cousin at CNN or provide us a link to "independent" news sources to find out what REALLY happened last night.
